Reflexology centres, cinemas, swimming pools reopen today!

Jul 01, 2020

Several social and economic sectors are resuming operations today, after being suspended for about 4 months.

You can now watch a movie in cinemas, take a dip in private and public swimming pools and send your kids off to kindergartens.

You're also allowed to start conducting wedding ceremonies and birthday parties, but there should only be 250 people on your guest list, depending on the size of the venue.

Malaysians have been urged not to be complacent as Covid-19 cases in the country continue to decline.

The Health Ministry reported only 2 Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing our overall tally to 8,639 with a recovery rate of 96.7 percent.

No deaths were recorded for more than two weeks now, while active cases drop to 164.

Its Director General says you should remain vigilant, abide by SOPs set by the government and take preventive measures at all times.

This, as preschools, kindergartens, cinemas, swimming pools and other sectors resume operations today.

The World Health Organisation has warned that the worst is yet to come in the Covid-19 pandemic, as globals cases and death tolls continue to climb.

It says the virus would infect many more people if governments did not start to implement the right policies.

More than 10 million cases have been recorded worldwide since the coronavirus emerged in China late last year, with US being the worst hit country in the world.
