Only 1 new COVID-19 case today!

Malaysia has reached another milestone, after reporting only 1 new COVID-19 case today. 

This means there were zero local transmissions. 

Meanwhile, the number of active cases has dropped to 144.

The death toll remains unchanged at 121.

School students who are not sitting for major examinations will be allowed to return to school this month! 

Education Minister Dr Mohd Radzi bin Md Jidin says students in Forms 1 to 4 can return to school on July 15th 

As for primary schools, students in Years 5 and 6 will also return on the 15th. 

Meanwhile those in Years 1 to 4 will start school on July 22nd. 

He says other school reopening dates are applicable to all schools registered with the Education Ministry.

However, sports and cocurricular activities are still not allowed.

The govt has delayed enforcing the rule, that makes it compulsory for private vehicles to have child car seats. 

The Transport Minister says the delay is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while it will also give people more time to understand the rule.
