Malaysians stranded overseas to return home soon

The Defence Minister says Wisma Putra has been tasked to draw up a repatriation plan and a cost estimate, to bring home Malaysians stranded overseas. 

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says over 10,000 Malaysians stuck in various countries have been identified.

Meanwhile, he has urged all Malaysian nationals abroad to register themselves with the Foreign Ministry.

Active COVID-19 cases drop to 71

The number of recovered COVID-19 patients today has exceeded the number of new cases.

11 were released from hospital compared to only five new infections. 

This brings down the number of active cases to 71. 

Meanwhile, the death toll remains unchanged at 121. 

Malaysia's economy forecost among first to recover post COVID-19 

The World Bank has forecast that Malaysia's economy will be among the first to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prime Minister says red tape and administrative issues must not hinder the country's economic recovery, and called on all agencies to help in boosting economic sectors.

This is the first time Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has addressed civil servants of the Prime Minister's Department since he took office in March.
