Massive water cuts in Selangor and KL next week!

Jul 07, 2020

Almost 300 areas in the Petaling, Klang, Gombak, KL and Kuala Langat regions will experience a temporary water supply disruption from next Tuesday until Friday.

The disruption is due to upgrades at the Sungai Selangor Phase 3 water treatment plant.

Air Selangor director and operations head Abas Abdullah says they will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas.

He also reminded consumers to use water wisely during this period.

IGP says action on undocumented migrants is for national security

All forms of action taken against undocumented migrants in the country is for national security and health reasons.

IGP Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador says no country would allow undocumented immigrants to move freely, especially in the face of global dangers posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

He was commenting on an international news agency's documentary, which claimed that Malaysia was discriminating undocumented migrants in its Covid-19 prevention efforts.

Decision is expected next month on travel between Malaysia and Singapore

A firm decision is expected next month on travel between Malaysia and Singapore for commuters as well as those on business and official duty.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry says the two countries will need to reach an agreement on SOPs and Covid-19 health protocols.

Meanwhile, it adds that discussions are also being held with other countries categorised as green zones, such as Brunei, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and South Korea.
