Govt approves SOPs for school exams

The govt has agreed to the Education Ministry's proposals on SOPs for school exams, amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says among others, schools should arrange their assessment schedules, based on the ministry's examination calendar.
He adds that school based assessments must be postponed, if a student shows symptoms of infection.

The reopening of Malaysia's borders will be the last thing on the govt's agenda, in the fight against COVID-19.
The Health Minister says the govt needs to take a cautiuos approach to the matter, as the majority of new cases recently are imported cases.
Meanwhile according to the ministry's figures, 8 new cases were reported yesterday.
Also, the death toll has risen to 122, while there are 67 active cases.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abishek have confirmed that they have COVID-19.
Both are in hospital in Mumbai and are reported to be in stable condition.
