Warning before fines for smokers & drinkers in Selangor playgrounds

Selangor will soon fine individuals who are found smoking and drinking alcohol at public playgrounds.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari says offenders will first be issued warnings during a three-month grace period to get accustomed with the ban.
The ban was effective from July 30th.
The Forestry Department says camping and hiking involving overnight stays are now allowed but only limited to half the total capacity.
For example, the campsite at Sungai Pauh, Cameron Highlands, is set at 70 people compared with its maximum capacity of 150.
It also reminded those carrying out dynamic recreational activities, including jungle trekking and mountain climbing, to practise physical distancing of 3m between each climber.
Former Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng is expected to face abuse of power charges in Penang today in relation to the RM 6.3 billion Penang Undersea Tunnel project.
Last Friday, the Bagan MP claimed trial in the KL Sessions Court to soliciting a bribe over the same case.
He is also expected to face another charge tomorrow also in Penang involving an unspecified case.
