FOMCA hails reduction in face mask price

The Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations, FOMCA supports the government's move to reduce the price of 3-ply face masks to 1 ringgit a piece.

Its deputy president Mohd Yusof Abdul Rahman informs us that this will encourage more people to wear them...

However, the goverment did not mention when this move will come into effect.

The prosecution in Datuk Seri Najib Razak's SRC international trial has filed an appeal to increase the former PM's punishment in the case.

Najib was earlier sentenced to 12 years’ jail and ordered to pay a RM210 million fine after he was found guilty on 7 counts of corruption.

US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has named Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, making her the first black and South Asian American woman to serve in the role.

Harris' selection comes months after Biden committed to picking a woman to join him on the Democratic ticket.

Biden will face President Donald Trump in the election on November 3rd.
