This comes after researchers detected a type of mutation in the Covid-19 strain involving 3 cases from the Sivagangga cluster and 1 from the Ulu Tiram cluster. 
 

The Health Ministry has confirmed that two foreign workers at a restaurant in Sri Rampai in KL had tested positive for the coronavirus.

This is after photos of the restaurant’s closure notice went viral on social media.

The eatery has been instructed by authorities to close for two weeks to undergo sanitisation purposes.

New Zealand has postponed its general election by four weeks until October 17, following a spike in coronavirus cases.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the new date will allow parties to plan around the range of circumstances when campaigning.

She had been pressurised to postpone the vote amid the emergence of infections in Auckland, after the country had been free of coronavirus cases for 102 days.
