Active COVID-19 infections drops to 185

More COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital today, compared to the number of new infection cases

23 were released from hospital, while only 16 new cases were reported. 

The Health Ministry says this brings down the number of active cases to 185.

The death toll remains unchanged at 125.

Residents in Napoh, Kedah sues nasi kandar restaurant owner for starting Sivagangga cluster

200 residents in Napoh, Kedah are suing a nasi kandar restaurant owner for causing the Sivagangga COVID-19 cluster.

The Kedah Consumer's Association helped file the RM1.5 million lawsuit.

The owner was caught breaching home quarantine rules, and had later contracted the coronavirus. 

Police arrest 140 people for flouting RMCO SOPs

140 people were arrested yesterday for breaching several SOPs unde the Recovery MCO.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says four of them were remanded while the rest were issued compounds. 

He adds that among the breaches was failing to wear face masks, and ignoring physical distancing measures.
