Sabah imposes COVID-19 travel ban

Travellers from states with active COVID-19 clusters will not be allowed to enter Sabah.

Its Chief Minister says this is in line with efforts to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus in the state.

This is after the Health Ministry detected a new cluster in Lahad Datu yesterday. 

Sarawak to pay for Sarawakian's mandatory quarantine cost

The Sarawak government will pay the mandatory quarantine cost of Sarawakians who return to the state from overseas.

However, the Defence Minister says non-Sarawakian will have to pay the cost themselves.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says Malaysians travelling to Sarawak from the peninsula, Sabah and Labuan don't have to be quarantined. 

Instead, they'll need to fill up a health form online prior to arriving in the state. 

Malaysia reports 6 new COVID-19 cases

The daily COVID-19 tally returned to single digits, after we reported just six new cases today. 

Two of them are local tranmissions from Pahang and Selangor. 

This raises the number of active infections to 153. 

The death toll still stands at 128.
