COVID-19 patients barred from Sabah Election

Those who test positive for COVID-19 are barred from taking part in the Sabah state election this Saturday.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says its to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.
However, those undergoing quarantine are allowed to vote, provided they apply with their district health offices.
This is so authorities can make the necessary arrangements, so that they can vote safely.
As for those who showing infection symptoms, they will be brought to designated areas to cast their ballots.
Another COVID-19 cluster in Sabah
The number of active COVID-19 infections has dropped to 665.
This is after 168 patients were released from hospital today, more than double the 82 new cases that were reported nationwide.
Most of the new cases were found in Sabah.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has detected a new cluster in Semporna, Sabah, called the Bangau-Bangau Cluster.
The nationwide death toll remains at 130.
Cops to take action against trouble makers during Sabah polls
Police have vowed to take tough action against anyone trying to cause problems during this Saturday's Sabah state election.
The IGP says this, amid rumours that some individuals with dual citizenship plan to vote for certain parties at the polls.
He adds that if caught, these individuals will have their identity card canceled and deported from Malaysia.
