PM announces new COVID-19 initiative to revive economy

The government says it will continue to help boost the nation's economy as it recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says this, after announcing a new intiative called Kita Prihatin. 

The new initiative will include the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0 cash aid targeted for those in the B40 and M40 groups.

They will receive cash aid between RM300 to RM1000.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claims to have majority for new goverment

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claims he has the numbers in Parliament to form a new government. 

The PKR Chief says more details will only be revealed after being granted an audience with the King.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.

Meanwhile, Amanah President Mohd Sabu says all of the party's 11 MPs have pledged their support for Datuk Seri Anwar. 

Malaysia's death toll raises to 133

147 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, raising the number of active infections to 770. 

Of the new cases 134 were detected in Sabah. 

Meanwhile, three people succumbed to the coronavirus today, raising the death toll to 133.
