Four districts in Sabah to be placed under TEMCO

Several districts in Sabah are set to be placed under a Targeted Enhanced MCO, following a recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says they are Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna, and Kunak.
The TEMCO will be in effect from midnight tonight until October 12th.
Datuk Seri Ismail adds that the TEMCO will affect over 960,000 residents.
Malaysia's active COVID-19 infections pass 1,000
Malaysia now has over one thousand active COVID-19 infections, after another 115 cases were reported today.
Of the new cases, 98 were found in Sabah, followed by 11 in Selangor.
The death toll remains at 134.
Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor as Sabah Chief Minister
The question of who will be the new Sabah Chief Minister has been answered.
This, after Sabah's Bersatu chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor says he will take on the role.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Istana Negeri in Sabah tomorrow morning from 10.30am.
This is after the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition claimed victory in the state election, after winning 38, of the 73 seats being contested.
