New Covid-19 cluster formed in Klang

A new Covid-19 cluster dubbed the Jalan Apas cluster has formed in Klang, Selangor following the detection of 8 positive cases there.

The index cases involved a husband and wife with a travel history to Tawau and Semporna in Sabah.

This cluster in Klang is one of currently 20 active clusters in the country.
 

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein is quarantining himself at home after campaigning in the Sabah elections for an UMNO candidate, who tested positive for Covid-19.

Other UMNO leaders who were with him, included party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Sabah UMNO chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

Unemployed graduates have been urged to take full advantage of the government's Career Advancement Programme,  to improve their marketability.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the PENJANA KPT-CAP programme will help graduates attune themselves to the new demands in the job market due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The programme, which will begin in October, will be conducted by academics, practitioners and industry players at selected higher education institutions nationwide.

This comes as the Higher Education Ministry said it expects to be dealing with 115,000 unemployed graduates looking for work in the coming months.
