Malaysians urged to do their part to flatten Covid-19 curve
Oct 02, 2020
It is possible to flatten the upward curve again!
Health Director General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says the onus is on Malaysians to prevent the virus from spreading further
“We have done it before and we have to do it again but we have the experience now, as compared to in March, but we need the collaboration with each and everyone of us so that we can comply to the standard operating procedure (SOP) and hopefully we can flatten the curve again
This comes as we reported 260 new Covid19 cases yesterday, making it the highest increase in cases since the recovery MCO phase began on June 9th.
The number of active cases in the country currently stands at 1,334 cases.
Now is not the right time to call for a general election!
The Election Commission told Berita Harian that it is hoping for the Covid-19 situation in the country to die down first, before conducting GE15.
It says the main problem would be to maintain physical distancing as compared to expecting the public to don a face mask.
Health experts also recently raised concerns about calling for GE15, with some warning that a new wave of Covid-19 cases would emerge if this were to happen.
Motorcyclists will be able to renew their road tax online through the MyEG portal from next Friday!
JPJ says those who want to renew their full-fledged driver’s licence can also do so on the website from Oct 16.
