Malaysia's new COVID-19 cases still over 1,000

Eight more people have died due to COVID-19 raising our death toll to 271.
Meanwhile, Malaysia continues to record a four-digit number of new infections, with 1,032 cases today.
Sabah reported the highest tally at 646, followed by 231 in Selangor.
The Health Ministry also detected six new clusters nationwide.

Conditional MCO to be enforced in Mukim 12, Penang

Mukim 12 in Penang’s Barat Daya district will be placed under a Conditional MCO due to a rise in COVID-19 infections.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the order will take effect this Friday until November 19th.
Meanwhile, the Enhanced MCO at the Taman Harmoni People’s Housing Project in Sandakan, Sabah is set to be lifted tomorrow as scheduled.
Datuk Seri Ismail adds that residents must continue to follow SOPs, as the state is still under a Conditional MCO.

Government to study EPF Account 1 withdrawal proposal

Certain EPF contributors could be allowed to withdraw funds from their Account 1 savings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the government has agreed to study the proposal.
However, he also expressed concerns that this may not solve cash flow problems, as some EPF contributors don't have much savings in their EPF account.
