Malaysia still reporting over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia continues to report a four-digit number of new COVID-19 cases, with 1,009 infections today.
Sabah reported the highest tally with 564 cases, followed by 180 in Selangor and Labuan with 95.
The Health Ministry also detected five new clusters nationwide.
Meanwhile the death toll has risen to 277, after six more patients succumbed to the coronavirus.

Those looking to balik kampung for the celebration, take note that inter-district and inter-state travel from Conditional and Enhanced MCO areas is not allowed.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob adds that only those residing in areas under the Recovery and Conditional MCO will be allowed to go to the temple.
Also, those in RMCO and CMCO areas can hold celebrations at home.
A maximum of 20 people will be allowed in the house at one time, depending on the size of the premises.

Parliament session capped at 80 MPs

Starting tomorrow, only 80 MPs will be allowed to attend Parliament sittings as a precaution against COVID-19.
This includes during the tabling of Budget 2021.
Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon says 41 of them will be from Perikatan Nasional, and the rest from the opposition and independents.
