Air Selangor says water supply is expected to resume in stages from 3pm today.
Yesterday’s shutdown had led to water cuts for almost 1.2 million residents in over a thousand areas in the Klang Valley.
Meanwhile, the Selangor Menteri Besar is not ruling out the possibility of sabotage in the latest incident of water pollution in the state.
Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari told The Star yesterday’s act could be retaliation for Selangor recently implementing harsher penalties against polluters.

Malaysia will not rush into obtaining a Covid-19 vaccine.

“To date, although 11 vaccines have been in phase 3 clinical trials, we have yet to read the reports. We hope to get the reports to analyze in terms of safety and efficacy. Hopefully its positive, but nonetheless we are very thorough in terms of looking into the details”
This comes amid news that a vaccine developed by a US company has been 90 percent successful based on initial trials.
Vehicle SOP stays the same
Malaysians are reminded that the two-person-per-car ruling still applies for areas under the Conditional MCO during the festive period.
The Senior Minister for Security says even though gatherings of up to 20 people are allowed over Deepavali in CMCO areas, the SOP for vehicles remains the same.
