Over 400 escape EMCO in Sepang, Selangor

Over 400 residents are said to have escaped the Enhanced MCO in Medan 88 Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi in Sepang, Selangor. 

It was reported they fled the area before the order took effect last night. 

As such, the Defence Minister says authorities have been given orders to detain these individuals.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob adds that it is believed that the escapees were workers who were helped by their employers to escape.

Malaysia reports 919 new COVID-19 cases

919 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, three were imported cases.

Sabah has again recorded the highest number of infections with 319, closely followed by 240 in Negeri Sembilan, and 174 in Selangor.

The Health Ministry also detected one new cluster in Sabah.

Meanwhile, one more patient has passed away due to the coronavirus, raising our death toll to 303.

EMCO extended in three Sabah villages

The Enhanced MCO in three villages in Kudat, Sabah will not end today as scheduled.

The Defence Minister says it will be extended from tomorrow for two more weeks.

They involve Kampung Pengaraban, Kampung Tanjung Kapor, and Kampung Landung Ayang.
