Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah suspects that many of those who ran off are illegal foreign workers.

The help of the police has also been sought, to track these residents down.

Separately, Dr Hisham says the high number of Covid-19 cases in the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan remains an issue of concern for the Health Ministry.

These areas accounted for more than half of the 919 new infections reported nationwide yesterday.

Vaccine plan is ready

A plan is already in place to vaccinate Malaysians against Covid-19.

The Health Ministry says the program will be activated as soon as a high-quality and effective vaccine is identified and secured.
