KL tops latest Covid-19 daily case tally

KL recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 475 new infections out of the nationwide total of 1,208.
The Health Ministry says the bulk of these were from the Damanlela Construction Site cluster.
Sabah, which was previously the worst-affected state, reported 381 new cases.
Yesterday also saw three new Covid-19 fatalities, including an eight year old girl from Sabah.
It brings the country’s death toll to 309.
Apology for ‘takut mati’ remark

Progressive Democratic Party president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing has issued an apology for his statement in parliament, questioning the commitment of the Health Director-General in the fight against Covid-19.
The Bintulu MP says he never intended to belittle the efforts of public health officials, including Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Its all about the money
A new survey by a graduate recruitment company has found that salary and bonus are among the top priorities for undergrads when seeking a job.
Other requirements include career development opportunities, flexible working hours and having a good boss.

Most of the respondents in the survey said they expect a starting salary of between 2,500 and 3,500 ringgit for their first job.
Malaysia joins RCEP
Malaysia has signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership or RCEP Agreement, along with 14 other participating countries.
It is the world’s largest trade pact – involving Asean nations as well as China, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia – who account for nearly 30 percent of global GDP.
