Agong expresses gratitude to MPs for supporting Budget 2021

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has welcomed the spirit of MPs in coming together to approve Budget 2021 at the policy stage for the welfare of the people.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin also thanked all MPs for supporting the budget adding that lawmakers have heeded the King’s call to stop politicking.

Perikatan Nasional scored a major victory yesterday when it managed to pass the budget in the Dewan Rakyat through a voice vote, after making several adjustments.

Another 935 cases of Covid-19 were reported yesterday, with Sabah back to topping the list with 326 cases.

Selangor was second, while Negri Sembilan came in third after topping the list two days ago.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at about 11,000.

The conditional MCO in force in Kuching, Sarawak will be lifted from midnight today, despite the district registering 4 more Covid-19 cases today.

State officials decided to do so due to the continued improvement in the district, which moved down a notch into the orange zone.
