Selangor records highest new COVID-19 tally

The number of COVID-19 patients released from hospital today has exceeded the number of new cases.
2,112 patients have recovered compared to 1,212 new coronavirus infections.
Of the new cases, Selangor recorded the highest tally with 402 cases, followed by 326 in Sabah.
Meanwhile, 3 more patients have succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 360.

Government expected to make announcement regarding CMCO this week
The Conditional MCO enforced in several states could be lifted earlier than scheduled.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says an announcement is expected to be made by this Friday.
Meanwhile, five areas nationwide are set to be placed under an Enhanced MCO due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
Datuk Seri Ismail says they involve two locations in Perak, namely Zon A Taman Klebang Jaya and Taman Pinji Mewah starting midnight tonight.
The three other areas are in Sabah, which involves the Sibuga Temporary Detention Center in Sandakan, and Kampung Desa Bajau as well as Kampung Dasar Baru in Lahad Datu starting this Wednesday.

EMCO at worker’s dorm in Selangor extended for two more weeks
The Enhanced MCO involving a worker's dorm in Klang, Selangor will not end today as scheduled.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says it will be extended from midnight tonight for two more weeks.
Meanwhile, the EMCO in two areas have been lifted today.
Datuk Seri Ismail says they are Putra Point in Negeri Sembilan, and a religious school in Padang Rengas in Perak.
