Perak Sultan gives consent to appoint new state MB

Perak’s political crisis is set to come to an end.

This, after the Sultan of Perak gave his consent to the appointment of Kota Tampan Assemblyman Datuk Saarani Mohd as the new Menteri Besar.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow morning.

COVID-19 cases back down triple digits

The number of new COVID-19 cases has gone back down to triple digits, with 959 cases today.

Selangor recorded the highest tally with 277, followed by 203 in Sabah and KL 129.

The death toll is now over 390, after five more patients died due to the virus.

EMCO in 3 localities in Bentong, Pahang

An Enhanced MCO is set to be enforced in 3 localities in Bentong, Pahang due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob the affected areas are Amber Court, Ria Apartment and Rumah Kongsi Kampung Semaut.

The order will come into effect from midnight tonight.
