The wearing of face masks is only compulsory in crowded public places!
Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri says it not necessary to do so, if one is alone and practices physical distancing.
This comes after a social media report went viral about an individual who was summoned for not wearing a face mask although he was alone in a public area.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has thanked all the lawmakers, who supported Budget 2021 right up from the policy stage to its third reading.
The PM says this shows that the Perikatan Nasional government always took into the account of the welfare, safety, and the wellbeing of the people, as well as the economic recovery of the country in its actions.
The largest national budget in Malaysian history was passed with 111 MPs voting in favour of the bill.
Malaysia recorded 1,772 new Covid-19 cases, raising the number of cumulative cases to surpass 86,000 and closer to total cases in China, which is the epicentre of the virus with a population 40 times larger.
