15% of Malaysians suffer from chronic kidney disease

A survey has found that 15% of Malaysians are suffering from chronic kidney diseases.
The Health Ministry says most of those patients did not realise they're suffering from kidney failure as symptoms will not be apparent in early stages.
The Health Ministry reported 1,196 Covid-19 infections yesterday, with Selangor once again logging the most number of cases.
The fresh cases brought the caseload to over 105, 096, while active cases stand at around 20,233.
Meanwhile, 997 Covid-19 patients recovered from the virus yesterday.
A new cluster dubbed the Jalan Sedco cluster has been detected in Sabah involving the Tawau and Kalabakan districts.
It was discovered through a screening of symptomatic individuals and it has since developed into a workplace cluster.
