CMCO extended in Selangor, KL and Sabah

The Conditional MCO enforced in several areas nationwide will be extended due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
The Defence Minister says they include Selangor, KL, and Sabah until January 14th.
Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the CMCO will also remain in effect in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan as well as in Johor Bahru and Batu Pahat, Johor.
Meanwhile, the CMCO in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Ipoh, Perak and Kulai, Johor have been lifted today.

COVID-19 travel restrictions still imposed on selected countries
Travellers from over 20 countries including the UK are still banned from entering Malaysia as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
The Health Director General says coronavirus testing and quarantine procedures have been tightened following the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant abroad.
In September, the govt imposed a travel ban on travellers from countries including the US, the UK and Indonesia.

Almost 1,600 new COVID-19 infections
1,594 new COVID-19 cases have been reported today.
Selangor continues to lead with the highest tally with 697 infections, followed by 194 in KL.
Meanwhile the death toll has risen to 455 after three more people died due to the virus.
