HSR project officially terminated

The proposed High Speed Rail Project linking Malaysia and Singapore has been terminated.
This, after both countries failed to reach an agreement on proposed changes.
In a joint statement, both countries said they will abide by their respective obligations, as a result of the project's termination.

1/3 Malaysians still concerned about COVID-19 vaccine
A survey by the Health Ministry says one third of Malaysians are still scared of, or are suspicious of the COVID-19 vaccine.
It says most of these respondents were fearful of potential side effects.
This, as the govt said it has secured enough vaccine doses to for around 80% of Malaysia's population.

KL-ites ignored SOPs on New Year's eve
Several people in KL allegedly breached COVID-19 SOPs when they ushered in the New Year last night.
According to Malay Mail, many ignored rules like maintaining proper physical distancing, when they flocked to the city’s popular hotspots.
This, despite the Health Ministry reporting 2,525 Covid-19 cases on the last day of 2020, which is a new record for daily cases.
