Public services sector mulls disconnecting work computers from the internet

The govt is looking at restricting internet access from the work computers of civil servants for security reasons.
The Chief Secretary to the Government says among others, it will look at a similar move by Singapore, to gauge its effectiveness.
The republic recently separated Internet surfing from civil servants' work computers to help protect govt systems from threats including hacker attacks.
They can only go online via dedicated computers, or through their own mobile devices.
