So far more than 12 thousand phone numbers have been blocked by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission for promoting online gambling. 

MCMC says the action was made following 1,161 complaints received between 2015 and September this year

Information about the phone numbers has also been shared with the Police in order for further investigations to be carried out. 

MCMC adds continuous cooperation between them and PDRM would cover aspects including digital forensics and access restrictions on websites.
