Unicef Malaysia: take baby-selling allegation seriously

Unicef has urged the police and other enforcement agencies NOT to dismiss the allegation of a baby-selling syndicate in Malaysia, as highlighted in a recent documentary. 

It told the Malay Mail, Malaysia is obliged under international laws to ensure that children are protected from all forms of abuse and exploitation.

Unicef also backed calls by the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry to review current adoption laws and processes.
