A Yellow-Stage heavy rain alert is in place for 6 states in the peninsular.
The National Disaster Management Agency says heavy rain has been forecast for Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan and Terengganu for three days starting today.
As such, it has advised all relevant agencies to activate district-level operation rooms and to prepare for possible floods.
