Not all states in Malaysia will have a holiday on Tuesday, December 13th.

Dec 07, 2016

Not all states in Malaysia will have a holiday on Tuesday, December 13th.

Selangor has declared that date a public holiday, to mark the 71st birthday of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, which falls on Sunday, December 11th.

Since the following Monday is already a federal public holiday, the state will observe the holiday on Tuesday instead.

Kelantan also declared Tuesday a holiday, in honour of Sultan Muhammad the Fifth's ascension to the throne as Malaysia's 15th yang DiPertuan Agong.

However, the Federal Govt has denied reports on social media that it will be a nationwide public holiday.
