Tax dodgers to be listed under CCRIS

The Inland Revenue Board is in talks with Bank Negara, to have tax defaulters listed under the Central Credit Reference Information System, or CCRIS.

The IRB says it hopes the proposal will help boost payments and clamp down on tax evasion. 

Once they are listed under CCRIS, tax defaulters and those who intentionally delay tax payments will be bound by conditions including not being able to borrow from banks.
