N Korean ambassador's statement on KLIA2 incident

Feb 20, 2017

North Korea's ambassador in Malaysia claims his office had never confirmed that the man who was killed at KLIA2 was the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

He only confirmed that the victim held a North Korean diplomatic passport under the name Kim Chol.

He has also asked for North Korea to be given access to the female suspects, who were detained over the incident.

He adds, North Korea respects the ongoing police probe into the man's death, but called for a joint investigation into what happened.
