May 29, 2017

Melaka has stopped issuing family entertainment licences, as it conducts a review of existing license holders.

The Chief Minister says it's to identify operators who have abused their licences by turning their outlets into gambling dens.

Those found to have breached the terms of their licences will have them revoked immediately.

This, after the IGP advised state governments and local authorities to stop issuing family entertainment licences, due to numerous cases of abuse.
