Jul 04, 2017

The Malaysian Medical Association has applauded the govt's decision to relax the Bahasa Melayu SPM requirement for potential staff.

Those wanting to become UD 41 contract medical officers are no longer required have sat for that paper in SPM.

The MMA says the decision will allow hundreds of medical graduates who studied overseas or who took O-levels, a shot at their career of choice.

However, the decision has created mass confusion.

As such, the Health Ministry will explain it to the Cabinet soon.
