SRS told to play more active role as a strategic partner of PDRM in combatting crime.

Members of the Voluntary Patrol Scheme (SRS), totalling nearly 100,000, nationwide, have been told to play a more active role as a strategic partner to the police in combatting crime.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup suggested that they organise programmes involving the local community to achieve the purpose.

 Joseph said as on May this year, there were 4,959 SRS set up under 7,821  Rukun Tetangga (RT) areas nationwide.
