MOE: we are considering it

The Education Ministry is considering requesting for police officers to be placed at schools in crime hotspot areas.

It says asking for an officer for each of the 10,200 schools nationwide would be too much, but there are only about 420 schools in hotspots.

This comes after a man was gunned down in a drive-by shooting, while waiting for his son outside a school in Serdang last week.
