MOT: No decisions yet !

May 26, 2018

There was a total of 6,740 road fatalities last year which translates to an average of 20 deaths per day.

The transport ministry will solicit the public views on whether the minimum driving age should be increased.

Minister Anthony Loke says they are not making any decisions yet, and want to listen to feedback from the relevant parties, especially parents in regards to the move.

The minimum age for obtaining a driving licence in Malaysia is 16 for a motorcycle and 17 for a car.
