The proposed 2 percent EPF contribution for housewives has hit a roadblock.

Jun 08, 2018

The proposed 2 percent EPF contribution for housewives has hit a roadblock.

The DPM says the law does not allow the husband's EPF contribution to be transferred to the wife.

Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says a way around it would be for husbands to volunteer to give their wives 250 ringgit a year.

The govt will then chip in up to 600 ringgit a year.
