Gag order issued in Najib's trial
Coverage on Datuk Seri Najib Razak's courtcase will have to be free of all prejudice.
The former PM's lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah explained to the media yesterday, he pushed for a gag order to ensure nobody makes unfair comments about the case just to get it published.

"Making comments about whether Najib is a person who pretends he doesn't have enough money... that you cannot do because it's prejudicial and against fair trial"
The gag order also applies to social media comments.
Meanwhile, the MACC has responded to the Malaysian Bar's questions about whether the 1MDB taskforce had the legal standing to decide if Najib was to be charged.
The Anti-Corruption Commission told the NST, the statement issued by the taskforce two days ago is correct - it merely missed out on the word "MACC".
Najib's stepson in marathon MACC questioning
The former PM's stepson Riza Aziz was grilled by the MACC for 6 hours yesterday, meaning he has spent a total of 15 hours at the commission over 2 days.
Reports claim he has to return again today for more questions on 1MDB.
