However, 60% of the 500 respondents are still concerned about financial and political corruption in the country.

Unemployment and work-related issues were the second-highest concern among Malaysians.

Positive Employment Figures

Meanwhile, the government says the unemployment rate in Malaysia was at 3.4% for the first quarter of the year, which makes us a full employment nation based on the international definition.

The Labour Department of Peninsular Malaysia says the low rate of unemployment is due to the current economic and political stability.

Another By-Election On The Cards?

Tan Sri Musa Aman's request to have his swearing-in deadline extended has been rejected by the Sabah speaker!

Datuk Seri Syed Abas Syed Ali says Musa Aman has to return and take his oath by September 11th, or his Sungai Sibuga seat will be declared vacant.

The former Sabah Chief Minister disappeared shortly after GE 14, and is believed to be seeking medical treatment in the UK.

i-Suri Open For Registration

Registration starts today for the government's EPF scheme for housewives - Caruman Sukarela Insentif Suri, or i-Suri.

Housewives, widows and single mothers enlisted in the 'e-Kasih' system can register for i-Suri.

They also have to contribute a minimum of RM5 per month into their EPF accounts to be eligible to receive the government's incentive of RM40 per month.

Another Chance To Get Logo Right

The Tourism and Culture Ministry has heard the rakyat's complaints about the Visit Malaysia Year 2020 logo, and is giving the people a chance to fix it.

Minister Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi said: "We might touch up a bit... bagi lebih cantik. Kita akan buat satu pertandingan dalam masa yang terdekat. It'll be open for everybody"

He adds that contestants will only be required to modify the existing logo, not change it completely.

The logo featuring two orang utans and a turtle in sunglasses triggered a huge outcry when it was first revealed, with many calling it "amateurish".
