Quick End For Fake News Law
The Anti-Fake News law is no more.
The controversial law with fines up to RM500,000 and a 6-year jail term was passed by the previous government just four months ago, right before GE14.
Yesterday, MPs debated the motion to repeal the law for about 3 hours in Parliament before passing it by a simple majority.

The vote also marked the end of Pakatan's first Parliament sitting in the govt seats.
