"Malaysia 2020" car registration plate to be unveiled during Merdeka day parade.

The special car registration plate, Malaysia 2020 which is reserved for PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be unveiled during the Merdeka day parade on August 31.

The Transport Minister says Tun M has agreed to place the number plate on his official car.

Anthony Loke also says the bidding for the special Malaysia 1 to Malaysia 9999 number plates earned some 13 million ringgit for the govt's coffers.

Minister Anthony Loke says this is compared to the previous administration, which appointed private entities to handle such bids. 

As a result it missed out on 100 million ringgit in potential revenue

IGP: we are wrapping up the probe

The IGP says police are wrapping up their probe into former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and investigation papers are expected to be handed to prosecutors on Monday.

Musa, who is accused of criminal intimidation, is out on police bail after being arrested upon his return from overseas.

A new global study has found that no amount of alcohol is good for your health.

Earlier research said that taking moderate amounts of alcoholic drinks, can give some health benefits such as reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. 

However, the new research suggestst that any benefits are offset by higher risks of cancer and other diseases. 

The researchers also said that alcohol was responsible for nearly 3 million deaths worldwide in 2016.
