Tommy Thomas selects Datuk Sulaiman Abdullah as lead prosecutor.

AG Tommy Thomas has selected lawyer Datuk Sulaiman Abdullah to replace him as lead prosecutor in the criminal trial of  former PM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

 

Tommy selected Datuk Sulaiman to replace him, citing his responsibilities as AG took precedence and he was unable to devote time to the case.  

Both lawyers have waived all legal fees, and will act pro bono.

A deputy director-general of a division in the PM’s Department with a 'Datuk' title remanded by the MACC to facilitate investigation into alleged misappropriation of GE14 election funds, has been released.

6 Administrative and Diplomatic Officers, who were detained with the suspect in connection with the case, were also released today.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Universiti Malaya will be removed from the list of accredited undergraduate pharmacy programmes in the country.

The Dean of UM's Faculty of Medicine told the Star that the decision was made by MQA on the recommendation of the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.

The 21 students, who were affected by the mumps epidemic in a secondary religious school in Ipoh, are reported to be in stable condition.

Victims of "Mumps" usually recover fully without complications after two to three weeks.
