The PM has denied that he ordered the police to investigate certain Umno leaders and MPs.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the police act on their own accord, without any outside interference. 

Meanwhile, Tun M says the MACC has evidence that a number of UMNO leaders are living beyond their means.

New EC chairman = Art Harun

Azhar Harun has been appointed as the new Election Commission chairman.

The veteran lawyer, popularly known as Art Harun, says he intends to improve the negative perception that the commision received during GE14.

He replaces Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah, who opted for early retirement in July.
