PDRM have seized 435 bottles of bootleg booze in a raid at a shop in Selangor.

Police have seized 435 bottles of bootleg booze, in a raid at a shop in Kampung Baru Subang, Selangor.

A man believed to be the shop's owner was arrested in the operation. 

Police said the shop allegedly sold counterfeit alcoholic drinks of various brands, including the brands linked to the recent methanol poisoning deaths. 

Meanwhile, the death toll due to methanol poisoning in the peninsular has risen to 37. 

The Health Ministry adds, 6 new methanol poisoning cases have also been reported, raising the total to 93.

It also urged the public to send family members and friends who show symptoms of methanol poisoning to hospital for treatment.

Symptoms include stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, headache and blurred vision.

Former MIC sec gen Datuk S. Kumar has decided NOT to run as an independent candidate in the Port Dickson by-election on Oct 13.

He initially wanted to contest, to protest the MIC's decision to stay out of the by-election, to make way for Umno. 

It's because PD is traditionally contested by MIC.

But since UMNO decided NOT to contest either, there is no need for him to run.

A first-time passenger on board a domestic flight in India sparked panic after trying to open a plane door in mid-air.

According to reports, he thought it was the door to the toilet. 

He was detained upon landing, and was released after being questioned by police.
