Datuk Seri Najib Razak and fugitive Jho Low are among 18 witness to be called up before the Public Accounts Committee's 1MDB probe .

This follows after the committee unanimously voted in favour of reopening its inquiry into the scandal. 

The first proceeding will be held on October  29, with testimony from former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang.

Challenged !

A voter in Port Dickson has filed a judicial review application at the KL HIgh Court, challenging MP Datuk Danyal Balagopal's decision to vacate the parliamentary seat. 

He is also challenging the by-election that was called as a result. 

He wants the court to declare the seat's vacancy as invalid, and seek an injunction to stop the Election Commission from holding the by-election.

This, as another candidate threw his hat in the ring for the Port Dickson by-election 

Former PKR member Ahmad Kamarudin has announced that he will contest under the Parti Rakyat Malaysia ticket. 

He will go up against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, independent Stevie Chan, and a PAS candidate.
 

PPBM will dissolve all its divisions in Negeri Sembilan 

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia will dissolve all its divisions in Negeri Sembilan with immediate effect, over a number of concerns.

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the decision will make way for fresh appointments at branch and division levels.
 
Muhyiddin adds, the party has also decided to dissolve the Ampang and Subang divisions in Selangor.

The cabin crew on board a flight in India had to restrain and remove a passenger, after he tried to enter the cockpit while it was preparing to take off.

Reports say the man, who was drunk, wanted to go to the cockpit to charge his mobile phone.
