Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Mohd Nazari Mokhtar are representing Pakatan Harapan and PAS respectively while the rest are all independent candidates.

Former Negeri Sembilan MB Tan Sri Isa Samad and Stevie Chan are among the independents in the race.

Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah vacated the PD parliamentary seat in September to facilitate Anwar’s return to Parliament.

DVS says the co-op is needed as the rabies outbreak in the state had been increasingly worrying as three more rabies-outbreak areas were declared.

The areas involed are Sibu, Miri and Kapit.

The Dept also confirmed that rabies had so far claimed 12 lives in Sarawak since June last year.
